Rose Marie McCoy

PCK Media tells the story of the irrepressible songwriter Rose Marie McCoy (1922-2015). Born on a farm in the heart of the Arkansas Blues Delta, Rose arrived in New York City at age 19 to become a singer—but it was songwriting that landed her on the charts. Based for over 50 years in Teaneck, NJ, Rose Marie McCoy wrote over 800 songs, recorded by luminaries such as Sarah Vaughn, Elvis Presley, Aretha Franklin, and Ike & Tina Turner.

Rose Marie McCoy: It’s Gonna Work Out Fine was awarded a 2020 Incubation Grant from the New Jersey Council for the Humanities. In 2022, the short film won a New York Emmy.
